Enfin ! Danny Tenaglia sort son nouvel album baptis « Tourism », trois ans aprs la sortie de son premier opus « Hard & Soul ». N Brooklyn, Danny Tenaglia se fait un nom comme DJ vers la fin des annes 80 Miami. Il revient New York en 1990 et travaille depuis rgulirement l’tranger. En 1996, il assure sa premire grande rsidence New York au Twilo, le clbre club situ sur le site de l’ancienne Sound Factory. En tant que remixer, ses talents ne sont plus dmontrer et les plus grands ont sonn sa porte. Mme Patricia Kaas ! pour qui il a remix » Reste sur moi » crit par Marc Lavoine. J’aime Danny Tenaglia. J’admire Danny Tenaglia. Ses sets me scient les jambes et me font danser jusqu’ l’aube (oui, bien sr : danser sans les jambes !? Danny Tenaglia me fait dcidment un drle d’effet !). Dans sa « cuisine « , Tenaglia nous livre sa recette secrte avec le magique « Elements » o le DJ s’amuse dcomposer un morceau de house. Plus qu’un tube (le titre a t n l des clubs aux Etats-Unis), « Ele-ments » est dsormais un must dans l’histoire de la culture club et me rend toujours aussi hystrique. Quand on se penche de plus prs sur « Tourism « , on s’aperoit que, plus qu’un nouvel album, cri a l un vritable stock de bombes pour les dance-floors. Le dernier extrait en date, « Music is the answer » va en faire suer plus d’un cet t. Si explo-sif qu’il pourrait presque semer une zizanie terrible en plein plan vigipirate. Si renversant, que Crunch, le chocolat qui crous-tille, voudrait l’utiliser pour ses prochaines tls (n’importe quoi !). Si secouant, qu’Orangina voudrait dbourser un milliard de dollars pour sponsoriser les soires de Tenaglia. Si dangereux, sismiquement parlant, que l’album aurait t retir des bacs San Francisco et au Japon et dans toute autre zone rpute sen-sible aux tremblements de terre. Bien sr, je ne vous raconte l que des conneries car « Tourism » est tout sauf dangereux. Mais si j’employais des mots simples pour qualifier le travail de Tenaglia, a ne collerait pas. La lgende raconte mme que Tenaglia aurait fait dcoller l’avion, d’o a t prise la photo de la pochette de l’album, sans carbu-rant… rien qu’avec sa musique. Vous n’y croyez pas ?
