Rentrant d’un voyage d’affaires Minneapolis, Daniel rencontre Martha. Arriv Londres il est fou amoureux de la belle amricaine qui, ds le lendemain, lui pose un lapin. Daniel abattu fait part de sa dconvenue ses deux amis Franck et Lawrence. Quelques heures plus tard, Frank rencontre Martha et se rjouit l’ide de la mettre dans son lit. Mais Daniel et Frank ne sont pas les seuls tre tombs sous le charme de la belle Martha. Cette petite comdie anglaise montre d’une faon plutt russie que le cinma romantique n’est pas mort. Les acteurs sont beaux, drles, mouvants. On y dcouvre avec plaisir Joseph Fiennes, un acteur de thtre qui laisse sur le carreau tous les petites frappes d’Hollywood. Un film frais et drle. Un film anglais, en sorte.

MARTHA, FRANCK, DANIEL AND LAWRENCE. De Nick Hamm. With: Monica Potter and Joseph Fiennes. Returning of a business trip in Minneapolis, Daniel meets Martha. Arrived to London it is insane in love with beautiful American which, as of the following day, poses a rabbit to him. Killed Daniel announces his disappointment to his two friends Franck and Lawrence. A few hours later, Frank meets Martha and is delighted with the idea to put it in his bed. But Daniel and Frank are not the only ones with to have fallen under the charm from beautiful Martha. This small English comedy shows in a rather successful way that the romantic cinema did not die. The actors are beautiful, funny, moving. One discovers with pleasure there Joseph Fiennes, an actor of theatre which leaves at the pithead all the small ones strike of Hollywood. A fresh and funny film. An English film, in kind.
