Pour les besoins d’une enqute dif-ficile, le dtective Daryl Zero accepte de se rendre sur le terrain, quittant la chambre d’htel o il vit reclus. Ce thriller est la surprise de ce dbut d’t. Le fils de Lawrence Kasdan (Les copains d’abord) n’a certes pas des talents originaux pour la mise en scne, mois excelle dans l’criture. Et quand on sait qu’ Hollywood un bon scnar devient forcment un bon film…. Daryl Zero est une espce de Mike Hammer sous acide, un doux barjot qui se prend pour Springsteen. C’est un priv parano, fou d’informatique, qui va dcouvrir l’amour. Bill Pullman montre ici qu’il peut trs bien sortir des rles ridicules dans lesquels on l’avait confin ces derniers temps (Independance Day, pour mmoire). Enfin, last but not least, on retrouve dans ce polar atypique un Ryon O’Neal plus gros que jamais.

It is private a parano, insane of data processing, which will discover the love. Bill Pullman shows here that it can come out very well of the ridiculous roles in which one had confined it lately (Day Independence, for memory). Lastly, last goal not least, one finds in this polar atypical Ryon O’ Neal larger than ever.
